Airport updates
« on: July 30, 2019, 03:35:20 pm »
Airport: Batumi, Georgia [BUS]
Suggested change: Addition of tourism charm
Reasoning: Tourism, while not extremely prominent on a global scale, is very important to the region, which recieves about half a million tourists annually [2018]
Sources: https://www.georgianjournal.ge/discover-georgia/34661-the-number-of-foreign-visitors-in-batumi-has-risen-by-28-percent.html

Airport: Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan [IKU]
Suggested change: Addition of airport with tourism charm
Reasoning: Issyk-Kul Airport is an airport which receives regularly scheduled international flights, and therefore (in my opinion) warrants inclusion in the game. The coverage from the airport would also mean that some major towns such as Karakol, currently outside the range of any airports are accessible to users. I would suggest a tourism charm not based on current tourism numbers, but on future potential. This potential ranges from eco and adventure tourism in the mountains surrounding the town, to beach tourism on the shores of Issyk Kul lake. This potential is also evidenced by USAid spending on tourist attractions in the region and the construction of a holiday resort near the town by a western company.

Airport details: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Issyk-Kul_International_Airport (Coords in decimals are 42.5859, 76.7062)
Airport scale: I would suggest scale 3, based on the fact that the airport already features regular international traffic and A320neos - a mid size scale 3 aircraft.

Airport: Seymour Airport, Ecuador [GPS]
Suggested change: Addition of airport with tourism charm
Reasoning: Seymour Airport serves the Galapagos islands, and I feel as though it would be good to include the airport in the game due to the touristic value of the islands, which receive about 275,000 tourists per year.

Airport details: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seymour_Airport (Coords in decimals are  -0.457212, -90.274332)
Airport scale: I would suggest scale 2-3 based on the fact that the airport currently regularly receives A319 aircraft - a small scale 3 aircraft.

Airport: Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam, Mauritius [MRU]
Suggested change: Addition of tourism charm
Reasoning: Many tourists visit the island of Mauritius on holiday, nearly 1.4 million in 2018. I feel that these sort of numbers warrant a tourism charm.

Airport: Tocumen, Panamá [PTY]
Suggested change: Addition of [Tourism?] Business and International charms
Reasoning: Tocumen airport is a regional hub and a major destination for those flying onwards to south and central America from Europe. The city of Panamá itself is a large banking centre, with many Latin American and global financial institutions having operations there. Due to the historical city, relatively intact nature of the rainforest and sandy Caribbean beaches to the North, Tocumen could potentially warrant a tourism charm (however personally I feel this, if awarded, should be split between Bocas Del Toro [BOC] and Tocumen)

Thanks for all the details!

Adding the PR link here for reference https://github.com/patsonluk/airline/pull/166

I would need quite a lot of time to review the changes - especially the airports.

I have for now added tourist charm to MRU
