Tacking on in here to keep things consolidated, I'd also like to mention the denver metro area. A lot of people have taken note of certain areas population coverage being low. Denver is one of those as well.

In fact, I feel that even more people than that should be considered, as it's entirely common for people to drive down from the mountains (2 hrs +) to fly out of Denver. There are a lot of smaller airports dotted around but they are really not used for typical people traveling. I think the one in boulder is almost entirely skydiving flights and other GA non-travel stuff, for instance. (beautiful spot though
