« on: October 09, 2018, 03:36:14 pm »
Just bought a plane, an Ilyushin 96-400, but when i want to create a route, is does not show up in the list of plains to create that route, whilst it is in my inventory list of planes? >:(

It takes 48 weeks to be delivered.

It's likely that the airfield you're looking to use it on is too small to fly Il-96-400s on. This should also be a consideration when buying planes.

Or the range, it's "only" 10.000km.
If it is gray in your inventory but you can't see the option for it in a route, it's either range or airport size.

@alex... it was second hand, and it was delivered into my inventory
@t1853 ... i thought so as well, but then i tried london, Paris,... But while i am writing this, i didn't check airport of departure .... but then, where can I find this information? I didn't see it on the plane info sheet what take-off that they need, nor do i seem to find info about the runways at the airports?

It's "Airport Scale" when you first click on an airport, above Pop Coverage.
And in the airplane list, when you click on one there will be "Req. Airport Scale".

You can use a plane when the departure AND arrival airports scales are the same or higher than the required scale for that aircraft.
Il-96-400 requeire scale 4, so only airports with scale 4 or higher can service it.

I looked up your airline and it looks like you're based out of the smaller of Brussels' two airports, and as a result it can't accommodate larger planes.

You can play out of that location and use small planes, or build some bases in bigger airports, or reset. Do whatever is most fun for you.

I thought airport scale meant the size as in infrastructure, did not really think about airstrip. So i see now that my airport will actually be limited to air planes 3 or smaller :s bummer

Ok, i'm up to date now... thanks for the time and effort!
