Yeah I'm not to sure about this one.

Domestic Route (current/limit):   47/13
Regional Route (current/limit):   25/16
Intercontinental Route (current/limit):   1/12

Build more bases :D

I'd have to build 5 extra bases now just to get access to more Domestic US routes. This just took the game down a huge notch for me.

I have fixed a calculation problem that t1853 pointed out. So u should get a boost of 12 domestic and 4 regional now :)

which means your new number for domestic should be :
47/26

so u would need at least 21 extra slots of domestic expansion :)

If you build hub in country like US, u have 12 extra domestic limit per base. Which means you should only need 2 more bases before u can start expanding again? :)

I know it's still a bit of a bleh but i hope it's not too bad  :-\

I would still need to build 3 bases. 2 bases to bring me back to even and the third in order to launch new routes.

Rampantfox, Yes you are correct in saying you still need to build bases to get your old route count back, but that's unavoidable once you expand and need reputation points to grow bigger as an airline past 50ReP. that's correct but the new system should be a net gain in routes once you're fully expanded. It's a motivation to move out and expand beyond a single area, plus multiple hubs increase traffic through transient demand by a ton anyway. It's more of a balance update to make different approaches for different airlines serving different sized countries more viable. It does however put more emphasis on managing another aspect of your airline and planning out expansions will go a long way.

It seems that your airline has room for 4 more bases as it stands and is on the edge of 5. If you're worried about cost, you can just drop the non-essential bases that you need for new routes in no name cities for low cost, and then reallocate them later as you see fit. It's a bit of a financial burden for small airlines, but it's no more than maybe 1->15 million depending on airport size and country income level.

Well I'm not complaining. 32 new regional routes, just what I wanted the whole time.

Do you get more routes for a second base in the same country?

Yes, otherwise I'd be hosed.
