No worries! My pledge of keeping the game open source and free for everybody still stands as is!
Just that the game is having a larger user base now and I see some pretty bad service degradation lately. While I'm working to optimize the code, it is getting pretty close to the point that I would need a server upgrade.
So I would like to provide a channel for players to support the game financially if they want to - but again this game will not turn into a pay-to-win game, all the game play should be fair.
I'm thinking to give supporters some recognition - maybe something fun and cosmetic. I have also been thinking to add more analytical tools to the game so perhaps supporters will get some extra access to those tools
Patreon seems like a good platform as on top of getting money support i could also get some good community feedback there and hopefully reaches an even larger player base.
Please let me know about your thoughts! As this game would not have gotten this far without all your involvement and kind words
