I've updated the link with the latest version, sorry!
I'll no longer be active and working on this so I've removed the public sheets.
If anyone wants to keep up from where I've left the sheets are available at: https://mega.nz/#!KsMgwCDQ!WiMeoqiqXaUjESqVoXvcxc_U2oTyh5kN6sE-ls46vWQ *for idk how long
Thanks for the help everyone!
Ok, thanks for clarifications bluesky! So municipality numbers it is and preferably small countries that need fixing it is, as to not let the global population in game grow too much.
Question: How to handle cities that are existing already, but have numbers that are clearly too low (say e.g. more than 25% off)? Use the same sheet, or would you want a new tab or something?
Just another point - and I say that as someone operating an airline from a wealth 11 country - why the idea that population % should be = income level? Ok, I see the idea that wealthy countries have more airports overall and so more coverage areas to fill. But still, it's already hard enough in low wealth areas, wouldn't it make sense to reach something like 10% in every country?
Hi!
So, I've been working in adding some missing cities, to make the process a little clearer and to progress faster, I'm going to explain my logic here.
First, this is the current status of the population coverage in the game: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10WzGHugmC1GNWF3IDxA_3M-GQYqBRmD4Sy25RT5vSRY/edit?usp=sharing
Use the gsheets filters if you want to sort stuff differently.
The first step is trying to get the coverage % the same as the income (30 income -> 30% coverage). That is the number is the last column in the sheet, the closer to 0, the better.
After that, I plan on getting the same income countries in the same % coverage range (this is not going to be perfect).
Things to note:Now, this is the public spreadsheet where you can contribute if you want: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zhFNbGlFltVq_GCoGhZPNhywOxcF92d2TwXhIEsGBAE/edit?usp=sharing
- The balance isn't perfect. We know. We are trying to fix that.
- The country rep is related to the income and the population, so, more pop = more rep.
- We won't be manually adding EVERY city in the world, that isn't possible.
- Server performance will always be a higher priority than adding cities.
- There are some problems with different city structures that could result in problems and smaller pops in some cities. (for example, Switzerland and Tokyo).
- We will try to keep the current power and rep structure, but that may not be possible. We understand that you may not like that some country is now better than when you made your base decision or that some competitor now has an advantage, but such is life.
- The priority here isn't airports, it's cities, but some missing airports will appear by adding new cities.
- Any contributions and requests won't be added immediately, it can take some time.
- Patson (aka, the dev, Air Canada) is the one who gives the go ahead on any new additions/rules. Everything could be vetoed.
- This isn't for adjustment, it's for adding missing stuff.
You can also see the cities that (maybe) will be added in the next update and the cities already added (2nd sheet).
Don't be a kid, don't mess with the sheet.
When I (or anyone that can make a PR) feel like it,the PR will be made and patson will eventually review/add it.
Any questions, suggestions would be welcome.
This isn't for airport requests.
Also, if you want to ADJUST the size of a city, you can post here and we'll see what could be done.
Cheers!
