Yeah I'm not to sure about this one.
Domestic Route (current/limit): 47/13
Regional Route (current/limit): 25/16
Intercontinental Route (current/limit): 1/12
Build more bases
I'd have to build 5 extra bases now just to get access to more Domestic US routes. This just took the game down a huge notch for me.
I have fixed a calculation problem that t1853 pointed out. So u should get a boost of 12 domestic and 4 regional now
which means your new number for domestic should be :
47/26
so u would need at least 21 extra slots of domestic expansion
If you build hub in country like US, u have 12 extra domestic limit per base. Which means you should only need 2 more bases before u can start expanding again?
I know it's still a bit of a bleh but i hope it's not too bad
I have a neat idea! If you're gold in a high-value country like (oh, let's just pick a few at random) Japan, US, UK, or France, then you should get lots of extra bonuses.

Hi guys!
I have reworked the existing route limit systems to better suit airlines with bases in countries with less airports.
The main drive is from https://airlineclub.createaforum.com/under-development-wish-list-suggestions/a-change-in-route-categorisation/ which I agreed that airlines setting up bases in smaller countries are disadvantaged due to the lack of domestic airports
I really want to apologize to all players which are affected by this! I understand this change might greatly impact airlines planning. Though change like this hopefully can make the game more fun and fairer in long term!
Enough babbling! So here's the explanation of the change:
- Route cross continents (different countries) but within 1000 km range is now considered "regional" instead of "international"
- Domestic and regional route limits are based on the NUMBER OF HQs/Bases an airline has. And the boost of each type is based on the country it is in:
Country with size 3+ Airport Count Domestic Route Limit Boost per base Regional Route Limit Boost per base <= 2 1 12 <= 4 3 10 <= 8 6 8 <= 10 9 6 > 10 12 4
For example for a player with HQs in Singapore and a base in China would get:
Singapore (domestic/regional) : 1 / 12
China (domestic/regional) : 12 / 4
==========================
Total (domestic/regional) : 13 / 16
So overall for airlines with more bases in countries with abundance of airports will get more domestic routes and vice versa
I tried to tweak the number so to minimize impact to airlines with a good mix of bases. Please let me know you thoughts and perhaps I can adjust further.
Many thanks for playing again
