It is intentional, if u take a look at the airplane model, u can see the "Category" of the airplane

A319 is one tier higher than A318. For bigger airplane, they would require longer turnaround time. Therefore in some scenario, it will be able to fly less frequency.

When choosing airplanes, using bigger model will be disadvantaged for shorter route for that reason. It's kinda based on real life situation that it simply take longer to load/unload pax, and get the airplane ready for next service.

I bought some A319s for their increased capacity over the A318, thinking I could move more passengers using the same number of planes/slots. However, on most routes, the A319 cannot perform as many flights as the A318, even though it supposedly flies 1 kmh faster than the A318. The result is a route with less profit that only carries the same (or fewer) passengers per week, compared to the A318. Is this a bug?
