Post by: patson on August 18, 2018, 06:41:00 pm
Introducing Airline Alliance!!

Forming an Alliance
Any airline with headquarters and NOT in any alliance can attempt to form a new alliance, the alliance creator is automatically the "Leader" of the alliance

Established Alliance
Once created, the alliance will be in the "Forming" stage, there must be at least 3 approved airline members before an alliance can advanced to "Established" stage.

Only will established alliances be ranked and receive alliance bonus.

Joining an Alliance
An airline might only join an alliance if there are:
1. The airline's headquarters does not overlap with any headquarters of existing members
2. The airline's bases/hubs do not overlap with any bases/hubs of existing members
3. The airline has an headquarters
4. The airline does not belong to any existing Alliance
5. The alliance has less than 10 members including applicants

Once applied, the airline will be an "Applicant" to an alliance. An airline might only apply to one alliance at a time. To apply for another alliance, the airline would have to first retract from the previous application.

The alliance leader might accept or reject an airline's application. The decision is logged in the "Alliance history" list.

Alliance Ranking
Established alliances are ranked based on the total country champion points of all its approved members

Approved members of top 5 alliances will receive bonus on :
1. Extra Reputation
2. Max frequency allowed per flight route

All alliances receive a base bonus of 2 reputation

For details of the bonus, please refer to the new Alliance screen

Alliance Flight Code Sharing
Alliance members will share the network of each other, therefore virtual passengers are more likely to take connection flight offered by airlines within the same alliance. The profit of each route still goes to the operating airline

Alliance Management
Only alliance leader might approve/reject membership application.

If an alliance leader leaves the alliance, the alliance will be disbanded

I was wondering how you would prevent it from being optimal for everyone to just join one giant alliance. Cleverly done.

Once you are in an alliance, you are prevented from building a base that overlaps with another airline's base, correct?

And - technically according to your rules, it looks like it's legal for one alliance member to have a base in another alliance member's HQ. Is that correct or is that also prohibited?

Are you planning to add an in-game Alliance chat feature? That would really help since I don't see any way to communicate with others in my alliance, especially the ones I don't know personally.

This game continues getting better and better. Love this feature - and it makes the already cool country champion mechanic even more thrilling.

Maybe, it is a bit tricky to implement hehe

Meanwhile, make use of this game forum and messaging feature ;)

I didn't see you talking about it here, but is the maximum number of airlines in an alliance 10? I saw a message when I clicked on an alliance with 10 members.
