Version 2 Suggestions / Updating a Route cost

Updating a route when no changes in Capacity or Frequency (changing the plane flying that route) should have no costs. It makes no sense to have to waste delegates, a lot for foreign routes when you just want to switch around your planes usage.
I am currently flying super inneficiently because I can't even reorganize to remove some planes that I want to sell..

Version 2 Suggestions / Have country relations affect Staff Requirement

Country relations already affect negotiation (I still think they could affect a little more), but what about affecting the staff requirement of the routes as well? It makes sense that domestic routes have a lower requirement, but within bery close countries, it doesn't make sense to have the same staff requirment as flying the neutral countries.
European market should have very close relations and it should reflect on the staff requirements there.

Probably hard to implement, but would be great to have a way to set a plane to instead of being replaced with the same exact model, to be replaced by another plane in the same family.

Version 2 Airport and City Suggestions / Re: Incorrect placed gateway airports.

Just to add on this list:

Tokyo Haneda (HND). Has the most population 26Million, but it is not a Gateway Airport in Japan.

Osaka Internation Airport (ITM). Has the 2nd most population 9Mil, but it is not a Gateway Airport in Japan.

Version 2 Suggestions / Change to the base system

The current system allows for organic growth where your number of bases is connected to your reputation. I like this system, however, I feel the current implementation forces too much the Hub and Spoke model of aviation and limits the point to point model until you are already very big and have access to a large number of bases.

A possible way to allow for player choice in which path they want to follow, even early on, could be instead of limiting the number of bases acording to reputation is limiting the sum of your bases level to a certain ammount. Let me clarify with an example.

Assuming at first you can only have 2 bases. Currently that would mean you would be able to build 2 bases to as high a level as you wish. What if instead there was a limit of 5 to the sum of your bases level?
  • That meant you could have 5 level 1 bases and adopt a low cost point to point on lower demand airports
  • You could have 1 base at level 5 to go for a big airport market share, allowing you more slots in that airport and allowing you to pursue high demand routes
  • Something in between. 1 level 1 base + 1 level 4 base. 2 level 2 bases + 1 level 1 base. etc

Of course the numbers would have to be adjusted and well thought of, but what is your thoughts on the concept? Would it be possible to implement with the current framework without too much trouble?

Version 2 Suggestions / Country Relations Update Collection Thread

Country relations exist in this game and they do have some impact. Of course big influential countries like the USA areon friendly terms with half the world, but I see a lack of attention to other, smaller or less important nations. Therefore I would like this to be a thread where we can discuss possible realistic updates to the relations of some countries based on how they operate in reality.
Since I am portuguese, I would like to make my own contribution with my own country of Portugal:

Current relations:
  • Spain - Close (3)
  • UK - Friendly (2)
  • Germany - Friendly (2)
  • France - Friendly (2)
  • USA - Warm (1)
  • Italy - Warm (1)

My suggestions would be that EU countries should at least have Warm relationship with each other, therefore including Portugal, and friendly relations where there are big portuguese communities such as UK, France, Switzerland, Germany and Luxembourg. In Addition, portuguese speaking countries have strong ties with Portugal, from those Brazil being the closest. Finnaly there are large portuguese communities in some other countries such as Venezuela and Canada. Therefore I would make the following sugestion:

  • Spain - Alliance (4)
  • Brazil- Close (3)
  • UK - Friendly (2)
  • Germany - Friendly (2)
  • France - Friendly (2)
  • Luxembourg - Friendly (2)
  • Switzerland - Friendly (2)
  • Angola- Friendly (2)
  • Cape Verde - Friendly (2)
  • Macau - Friendly (2)
  • Mozambique - Friendly (2)
  • Sao Tome e Principe - Friendly (2)
  • Timor Leste - Warm (1)
  • Guinea-Bissau - Warm (1)
  • Venezuela - Warm (1)
