Version 2 Updates / Re: V2 Alliances Too Strong?
« Last post by patson on March 08, 2021, 12:10:09 pm »
Having played V2 for a while now, it seems to me that alliances confer two bonuses that, taken together, present too much of an advantage in the game.  There is code-sharing that provides a bonus in transfer pax.  I think this bonus is fine and proper.  But the second benefit, a boost in reputation, seems overpowered.  The airlines in the top alliance currently receive a 50-point boost in reputation and this seems, well, game-breaking because it directly boosts the ability to expand by granting many extra delegates.  Since more and more delegates are required as each base is added or expanded, the differential between the number of delegates available to big versus small airlines grows to a prohibitive level.

I'm not sure of the exact numbers in the following example but it will illustrate the concept.  A small airline with a reputation of, say 120, will have (I think) 26 delegates.  If the airline has bases totalling 14 levels, that leaves 12 delegates free for negotiations.  But the same airline in a top alliance will have a reputation of 170 which confers an extra six(?) delegates for a total of 18.  This, in turn, represents a fifty percent bonus in terms of negotiations.  On top of the aforementioned pax bonus from code-sharing, I think this combination simply brings too large a benefit from participation in an alliance.

Seems to me that the pax bonus from being in an alliance is realistic and proper but does being in a real-world alliance really confer much of a bonus to an airline's reputation?  Is real-world Air France's reputation that much higher because it's part of real-world SkyTeam?  I think not.  Perhaps a modest reduction to the reputation bonus is in order.  What do you guys think?

Hi thanks for raising ur concerns.

The alliance bonus does seem a bit overpowered at the early stage of the game as airports give relatively less rep points to start with. But once the game world mature, airports will give more rep points (several give more than 50 points alone for airline ranked 1st) we should see the bonus from alliance less obvious.

Besides once getting into higher rep range, it's hard to level. For example for rep 200+, it requires 50 extra points per level, therefore the alliance bonus will not give such a huge boost to big airlines anymore.

Let's wait out for a bit as the world is still pretty young right now :)

Version 2 Bug reports / Navigation is almost impossible to use on mobile devices

There's no intuitive way to access navigation on a mobile browser. It's mostly dumb luck to get it to open.

Version 2 Airport and City Suggestions / Bosnian airports by size
« Last post by ljiljan on March 02, 2021, 12:17:30 pm »
Everything is based pre-covid

Currently there are 3 airports ingame, Sarajevo is the biggest and has the most passengers IRL, Banja Luka airport exists ingame which had only 36k passengers IRL in 2018, Mostar had 28k in 2018 IRL

The airport that should be added is Tuzla airport, it is the 2nd biggest by far and they had 584k passengers in 2018

If you're planning on adding airports then Tuzla is a must add.

If you're planning on removing, Mostar and Banja Luka are prime candidates.

Technically all 4 airports are international airports.

There is another airport planned to be constructed in the future and that's Bihac airport which will surely be the 3rd biggest since that area has a lot of tourism going on and most of the traffic is currently handled by Sarajevo, Tuzla and Zagreb. It's not planned before 2024 though and the COVID situation only brings uncertainties.

Version 2 Bug reports / Double Negotiation Count
« Last post by Underwhelmed on February 28, 2021, 02:07:06 pm »
I was negotiating a change to a route and hit negotiate... Nothing happened, so I hit it again, to no effect. Went to my Office screen, which didn't list any delegate status, just a blank. Went back to the route I was negotiating and two of the negotiation screens popped up simultaneously. This also resulted in double the amount of assigned delegates being used.

Version 2 Bug reports / Passenger Map Transit Count Bugged?
« Last post by Underwhelmed on February 26, 2021, 09:09:33 am »
Hi,

Upload folder is apparently full so hosted screenshot instead: https://i.imgur.com/3o3HlJ1.png

Not entirely sure this is a bug but the "Top Transit PAX" count has 32 passengers from Air Barcino, but according to the mouseover for the incoming route, there are only 16 incoming passengers from him... There's some ambiguity here, but perhaps the airline isn't getting matched up with the source of passengers or it's double-counting because there are two legs?
